What you need for home DJ lessons
For home DJ lessons you will need to have some DJ equipment to work with. We can teach you using a DJ controller, Pioneer XDJ unit or Pioneer CDJs. We can also teach you digital or vinyl skills too! If you don’t have your own equipment you can still book home lessons, we will bring a controller with us to work on. If you’re looking to buy a DJ controller or any DJ equipment contact us for a student discount price list.
How do home DJ lessons compare to lessons in the studio?
All the DJ lessons and DJ courses at London Sound Academy are taught one-to-one. This means that home tuition and DJ tuition in the studio is exactly the same, with the same outcomes. You can learn just as well at home and still graduate from the course with all of the special LSA benefits!

How much are home DJ lessons?
We charge double for home tuition to cover our tutors travel time and expenses. Our Beginner DJ Course is £329 in the studio and the home learning price is £658. This price includes VAT. There are eight-hours in the Beginner DJ Course and you can choose when you want to have the lessons. Most of our students take one two-hour lesson a week so it would take you four weeks to complete the course. Once you’ve completed the Beginner level you can book the Intermediate and then finally the Advanced DJ Course.

Do you offer home DJ lessons for children?
Yes. We teach ages eight upward (Children under 14 must be supervised by a parent or guardian for the duration of the lesson) Our tutors follow child safeguarding training and are fully DBS checked.
